Preshow starting 30 minutes later today

Due to an unforeseen issue at home, I'm going to be pushing my preshow back to 1:30 EST (that's 30 minutes later than normal). The preshow will be 30 minutes, rather than 1 hour as usual, and as such, the proper show will start at the same time it always does.

Cliff Harris, indie game developer and ex-Lionhead and Elixir programmer has been in the spotlight recently for his piracy survey which asked software pirates "why do you pirate games?". Now it's time for Cliff to answer our questions about his views and experiences with piracy and the development industry. Cliff will be joining TotalBiscuit on the show for a very enlightening interview so I hope you guys will join us on Monday Aug 25th at 2pm EST (7pm British Standard Time). Essence of RP pilot unavailable for podcast listeners

Unfortunately due to a technical fault, the archive of Essence of RP did not correctly save and the file is beyond repair. That means that the pilot show will not be available for podcast download. We apologize profusely for this, as we know there were many people looking forward to the new show, who were not able to listen live. On the off-chance that somebody recorded the show in one form or another, feel free to email totalbiscuit@wcradio.com. If anyone out there does in fact have a recording that they could send us, we would greatly appreciate it.

Season Three in Surround

Surround Sound versions of all Season Three episodes of Chalice are now in production! You can download Episode 46 in 5.1 at www.ChaliceofSilvermoon.com, and Episode 47 isn't far behind! We've made the episodes available in both MP4 and WMA, and if you ask us nicely, we can try our hardest to make the episodes available in additional file formats. An RSS feed to the MP4 versions of the files (for those of you who want to subscribe to something easy on iTunes or whatever) has been made available, as well. So, quit waiting around and go download those surround sound episodes!

Those who entered the Pass the Torch contest should now be receiving their confirmation emails. Please follow the instructions within carefully. We apologize for the delay, our system required some modification. So perhaps you could say "the device has been modified".
The deadline for entries is the 15th, and I will announce when the mailbox closes live on air, to give you guys a final chance to enter. Remember, one entry per household, and valid postal addresses only. Cheaters will be caught and disqualified immediately.
If you have for some reason not received your verification email, we have created a system that will allow you verify regardless. Go to this verification page and fill out the form. You still require a valid email address to complete the verification. Those who do it this way will not receive an advantage, or a disadvantage, everyone will be treated equally. Finally, for those who have asked, the entry field on the form, is where you put the winning phrase.

Reminder about the Pass the Torch contest

The final secret 'olympic ring' has just been given out, which means there is now a phrase consisting of five words which will give you a chance to win one of twenty WWI cards! There have been questions about how to submit your answers, so they will be clarified here. The deadline for entries is 17:30 EST on Friday 15th.

Stage 1 : Form the five secret words into a phrase IN THE ORDER THEY WERE GIVEN OUT.
Stage 2 : Email the phrase to olympics@wcradio.com
Stage 3 : Within 24 hours of your email, you will receive a verification email from us which will give you the address of our verification page, which will require you to enter your valid postal address and verify your identity and email address. This is to prevent multiple entries. Warning! if you enter multiple times, you will be detected and disqualified. If you enter an invalid or false postal address, there will be NO opportunity for you to change it later. 1 entry per household please.

He'll be talking about Flintlocke's relaunch, with bonus content and commentaries, and hopefully leaking some tasty tid-bits about his new project(?). Since this will be a live interview, he'll also be taking listener questions via email and IRC!

We know sometimes it's difficult to decide which is more important, the launch of our new season, or the start of the olympic games. During this tough time, we are here to offer you relief, by combining WoW Radio, with the olympic games, and giving you a chance to go for gold and win a fabulous prize. We have 20, yes I did say 20, WWI cards to give away, which feature an EU/US beta-key and the exclusive Tyrael vanity pet. What's more, this contest is open to everyone, so even US players can get their hands on a Tyrael pet, and be the envy of their server.

So what do you have to do to enter? Simple. The contest will start on the 8th of August, and the winners will be announced on the 15th on Blue Plz!. 5 select shows will be our torch-bearers, and as the torch passes from show to show, will feature 5 'olympic rings' (you'll know them when you hear them), each of which contains a secret word. Once you know all 5 secret words, you will be able to form a phrase, which will be your key to the grand prize draw. Email the complete phrase to olympics@wcradio.com.
